The Eachine E58 drone is essentially a compact, foldable drone, controlled by radio and styled to be a miniature edition of the bigger and much more costly DJI Mavic Pro drone. In at least its vital functions and appearance, the drone is a remarkable replica of the DJI Mavic Pro Drone; as such, you can essentially refer to it as a clone of that drone.

The E58 drone is so small it can almost fit in the palm of a grown man’s hand. In addition, it is quite lightweight; however, even in its folded position, it actually feels relatively solid. Unlike a number of other models, this drone does not feel like it is going to just fall apart if it just bumps against a wall, a tree or any other type of obstacle.

It would be quite easy to put it inside a backpack or another bag and carry it around. However, it should be noted that it is recommended that the drone is placed in some type of case before putting it in a bag; doing so will lessen or eliminate the chance of the drone getting banged up quite a bit. You can search the Internet for a case for your Eachine E58 drone and you will find a number of good options to choose from.

After the four legs of the E58 drone are folded out, you will undoubtedly get the impression that, in its appearance, it is definitely a remarkable replica of the DJI Mavic Pro quadcopter drone. The DJI Mavic is currently in a category among the renowned granddaddies of high-end, high-quality drones. Essentially, the E58 drone is nearly an exact clone in appearance, except it is in a miniature form. Many users see this as a very good thing; user reviews have highlighted individuals who are super impressed by the futuristic, low-profile styling of the Mavic Pro. They are also quite fascinated by the really solid job Eachine pulled in imitating the craftsmanship of the Mavic Pro for the E58 drone.

The E58 is turned on by pressing the power button located on the top of the drone. While looking at the drone, you will notice that a column is there with 3 blue LED lights. These can be found on the top of the fuselage of the E58 drone and it is reminiscent of the “Destiny” logo of that popular game. While this might be purely coincidental, it is still fun. The 3 LED lights on the column are not indicators of the battery power level as might be expected; they merely signal when the drone is powered up.

There is a pair of white lights located at the front of the E58 and when illuminated, they almost look like headlights. When flying in lower-light flying conditions, these two ‘headlights’ could assist in visually determining the orientation of the drone.

Package Content

Inside the box is the aircraft , abattery, its transmitter, a pair of extra propellers and a set of blade protectors. There is also a USB charging cable, user manual and screwdriver. In its folded state, the drone is quite condensed (12.5 x 7.5 x 5 centimeters), which means it can be carried around in your pocket.

The included 500 mAh LiPo battery is loaded at the back of the drone. A fully-charged battery will allow up to 9 minutes of flight time. The micro USB port on the battery allows it to be charged conveniently with just about any phone charger.

Features

Among the most significant features of the Eachine E58 drone is its foldability. It is sufficiently compact and adorable to be handled by beginners. However, it is also packed with impressive features like programmed takeoff and landing. In addition, it has a mode that can execute ‘return to home.’ Prior to activating the ‘return to home’ mode, it is important to ensure the flight path is clear.

One of the unique features of the drone prevents accidental takeoff. This makes it much easier for beginners to master the art of flying a drone and simplifies the whole process of flying.

Other features include:

• Foldable arms and compact size
• Dual control mode (APP and RC)
• Easy-to-replace motors
• Super stable altitude hold
• Headless mode
• Multiple rates of flight speed
• Angle-adjusted HD camera
• Wi-Fi real time image transmission

Since crashes are inevitable, easy maintenance and the availability or spare parts are also extremely features that that are provided by this mini drone.

Pros and Cons

Pros

• Cool design
• Easy to fly
• Extremely stable altitude hold
• Easy maintenance
• Spare parts availability
• Strong head lights
• HD camera with Wi-Fi FPV

Cons

• Videos are captured at just 20 fps and can only be directly recorded onto the onboard SD card.

The E58 is a great starter quadcopter that is ideal for individuals wishing to get into drone flying but do not wish to spend a fortune to get started. Additionally, it is also a remarkable choice for anyone who wants an inexpensive selfie-style portable drone without having to empty his or her wallet. While this drone does not come with the safety features of the one it was modeled after, it does not come with the same price tag either. Being the owner of this drone will safely get you in the air and will allow your confidence to grow as you experience the excitement of flying and creating videos.

With the Eachine E58 drone, you will be getting quite a bit for your money. For example, its altitude hold feature, the headless mode and the one-key return will make life a whole lot easier for the beginner. Its 6 axis gyro-stabilization is also another outstanding feature which, until recently, was available only included on the more costly drone models. The Eachine E58 drone has a number of tremendously quality features and its remarkable style makes it stand out from among the rest of the competition.
