Simrex X300C Drone Review

Simrex X300C Review 2023 – is the Simrex X300C quadcopter worth the money? Review of features, pricing, flight duration, battery, camera and more.

A basic drone is usually what you will want if you are still learning to fly one or would like to hone your maneuvering skills. When you are ready to upgrade, then you would want a bigger, meaner machine. Pro series drones are designed to offer better features and longer flight times. They offer so much more than the basic entry-level drone that professionals and serious hobbyists use. Are you ready for a drone that has better features? Take a look at the Simrex X300C drone and see if this is the right choice for you.

Features and Details

The Simrex X300C is a mini drone but what it lacks for in size, it makes up for in capability. It has been loaded with features to ensure that it competes with the best drones in its class or even higher. At first impression, the X300C appears sturdy and of good quality. The set also includes a charging cable, controller, phone holder, battery, propeller protection frames, and spare propellers.

The body of the X300C is made of sturdy ABS plastic which, according to the manufacturer, should be able to withstand or at least survive a light crash or collision. The motor arms are foldable to make the drone easy to store and carry. With its petite size, it fits on the palm of your hand, so bringing this along for a hike or a shoot should not be a problem.

Flight Time

Now for the battery life. The Simrex X300C Pro drone can fly longer than basic entry-level drones. At 9 minutes, that should be enough time to practice control and landing, and take pictures/videos from above.

Range

The Pro series gives you more leeway when it comes to flying. With the X300C, you can enjoy effective control over the drone for up to 45m. At that distance, you can capture great overhead shots, sweeping panoramic images of the landscape, and stunning overhead views of a target area.

Headless Mode

Drone owners will tell you that the Headless Mode is a boon to flyers. With this mode on, you can leave the guesswork out of finding the proper orientation of the drone. As a result, you enjoy better line-of-sight flying. Headless Mode is common among entry-level drones. Since it is a feature in the X300C, you can fly your drone and guide it to where you want it to go without having to identify its current orientation. If you press the lever forward, it goes forward; press it backward, it goes backward. The same goes for the left and right directions. It’s that simple.

Control and Safety

The X300C Pro has a dual-assense control that allows it to be controlled using either a remote or a mobile phone. If you prefer to use your phone, simply disable the remote control to give full access to your phone via WiFi.

The ABS plastic body ensures that the drone will likely survive a crash or collision. To prevent the propellers from breaking off in case of an accident, all propellers come with a protection ring that creates a buffer against the whirling blades and a solid object.

Another key feature you will like is the Altitude Hold function. The X300C Pro is equipped with a feature that will keep it flying and in place even if your hand releases the control. The drone will hover and will only move again once you manipulate any of the levers to make it change directions. If you ever get distracted while flying, you can be sure that your drone will remain airborne.

Speed

This drone can be flown in three speeds – low, mid-, and high. It is recommended that beginners start this unit at low speed to get the hang of it, then gradually increase the speed as they get used to how the X300C moves under control.

Tricks

The X300C Pro can perform easy 360° flips (front, back, and side flips) and can be controlled to roll while in the air.

Camera

The X300C carries a front-loaded 720P HD camera that has a 110° wide-angle capability. It is good enough for basic bird’s eyeview photography or videography and often the standard in drones of this class. However, if you are looking for a drone camera that can capture the most details, the 720P onboard will leave you wanting. The X300C Pro also cannot store images due to a lack of a memory and a memory card slot. Instead, it will stream and store them on your phone.

Noise

Well, it is a drone after all and it comes with propellers with high rpms. However, you will be glad to know that this is one drone you can fly without annoying the neighbors. Its noise production level is low and it can be flown close to a safe level without drowning out the conversation.
